About Chris Monahan

My 5 years in the Navy set the foundation for my skills in working with electronics, mechanics, and machinery and having integrity and precision in the work that I do. My work as a firefighter/paramedic is incredibly fulfilling and enjoyable. My schedule with the fire department gives me the ability to take on handyman projects and continue working with my hands on my off days.

One of my core values is integrity which shows in the quality of work I do, my commitment to keeping my word and being reliable, and my commitment to treating others with respect and kindness. My commitment to integrity and the quality of my work earned me the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal for outstanding performance while on deployment in Iraq for Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom.

Another core value of mine is service to others and I am always looking for ways to help out my community. Some examples of this are my participation as a Big Brother for 7 years with the Big Brothers Big Sisters organization and my work in helping paint an orphanage in India while on leave from my deployment with the navy. Additionally, I have volunteered with Cumberland and Falmouth Fire Departments. My commitment to service is one of the reasons I wanted to be a fireman in the first place and why I love helping out as a handyman in my free time.
